BUILDING A BEACON OF LIGHT
This year, we invite you to please prayerfully consider giving to our Building a Beacon of Light Campaign. Your donation will help cover the school's essential operating costs. The more the school raises this year, the more students will be able to attend next year. Any donation helps. And of course, we especially ask for your continued prayers! Go to our donate page or email our Executive Director, Liz Yeh, at LYeh@chestertonjpii.org to learn more about ways to give. Thank you for supporting our mission of Building a Beacon of Light in Northern CO!
what st. John Paul ii high school means to northern colorado:
High School with a Higher Purpose
After years of prayers and hard work, we are here! The Chesterton Academy of St. John Paul II opened its doors on August 17, 2020. This first year, the high school has both a 9th and 10th grade, with plans to house grades 9-12 in the next couple of years.
St. John Paul II High School offers an integrated classical curriculum, robust spiritual and personal formation, and a strong emphasis on the fine arts. The academic program helps students to learn the skills of logical thought in both the arts and sciences, critical analysis of great works of literature, a deeper knowledge of faith, and clear and creative expression in writing and the arts.
We are deeply thankful to our gracious hosts at Our Lady of the Valley, who house us as we begin to build our campus. If you are interested in helping us build our community’s first Catholic high school, please visit the donate page or email our Executive Director Liz Yeh at lyeh@chestertonjpii.org
Our Leadership & Catholicity
Chesterton Academy of St. John Paul II operates as an independent, non-profit organization cooperating with the Archdiocese of Denver. The school opens with the blessing of Archbishop Samuel J. Aquila and is officially recognized as an independent Catholic school. The Archdiocese offers its support in helping to establish and promote the new school, oversees its Catholic mission and theology curriculum, and has representation on the school’s governing board.
